Privacy Impact Assessments
What is a Privacy Impact Assessment
A PIA is an analysis of how information in identifiable form is collected, stored, protected, shared, and managed. The purpose of a PIA is to demonstrate that System Owners and developers have incorporated privacy protections throughout the entire life cycle of a system.
PIA Resources
The Office of Management and Budget mandates that we publish our lists of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA's) on our web site.
Here you'll find Privacy Impact Assessments for Automated Systems (PIA), Non-system Projects, and Information Collections. We've grouped the PIAs by HUD Line of Business (LOB), and have provided the personal identifiable information (PII) status for each PIA.
You'll find the Assessments by first selecting one of the lines of HUD business below. Next, select either the System, Non-system, or Information Collection to view the full PIA.
PIAs for Information System containing no PII are filed on HUD's internal Cyber Security and Assessment Management System.
