General Information

The Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) is committed to enhancing opportunities for its residents and using its MTW status to create pathways that lead to self-sufficiency through targeted employment programs and avenues to opportunities for homeownership.

MPHA manages nearly 5,350 units of public housing, 6,550 Housing Choice Voucher units, and 250 units of local, non-traditional housing.

MTW Status

MPHA's Amended and Restated MTW Agreement was executed on January 29, 2008, extending its participation through its Fiscal Year 2018. As a result of Congress passing the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2016, MPHA’s MTW Agreement was modified and extended to the end of its Fiscal Year 2028.
