What is the Public Housing Occupancy Rate report?
The Public Housing Occupancy Rate report summarizes occupancy rates by Public Housing Agency. The occupancy rates reported are calculated using data collected in IMS/PIC. This data will be refreshed quarterly. The Public Housing occupied rental units count is based on the universe of Public Housing units that are identified as being under an Annual Contribution Contract (ACC) with HUD. Public Housing units are assigned a unit category and status by the Public Housing Agency to note the nature of use within the program. The counts of units within unit statuses of “occupied by assisted tenants”, “occupied by non-assisted tenants”, and “special use” are summed to produce the Public Housing occupied rental units count. Please contact the Public Housing Agency directly if you have questions about its occupancy.
