Thank you for your interest in the Section 232 program, which is for FHA-mortgage insurance for eligible projects, including Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Board and Care Facilities. Our website offers comprehensive guidance for ORCFs Section 232 program detailing the various HUD-insured loans and other relevant data. An excellent resource regarding our 232 program and the different loan types, eligibility, and processing procedures is our Section 232 Handbook (4232.1), located on our Section 232 Website here: https://www.hud.gov/federal_housing_administration/healthcare_facilities/residential_care
As a mortgage insurance program, FHA does not accept applications directly from Borrowers. To submit an application to ORCF, you would need to work with a Section 232-approved lender to secure mortgage financing, so working with a lender is the best place to start. To find lenders, go to the Approved Lenders List located on our Section 232 website. Please note that the asterisk (*) next to a lender’s name on the list denotes those approved to submit applications under the Section 232 program. (Only those with asterisks will be qualified to submit applications for our program.) . -- Aug 23 - How or where can I request assistance or obtain an FHA Mortgagee ID number?
