On June 29, 2023, the Warner Robins Housing Authority held its Weatherization Event to help residents seek various career and housing resources to assist their growth. This event aims to raise awareness amongst residents that career and housing resources are available for the community to access. The event was promoted on various social media sites to raise awareness. Ms. Johnnie Lattimore and Mr. Vonell R. Benton represented the HUD Office of Field Policy and Management along with recruiters from the U.S. Army National Guard, Middle Georgia Community Action Agency, Georgia Department of Corrections-Wilcox State Prison, who were in attendance. There were 30 participants in attendance for this event. The event's turnout was a success, as residents gained valuable resources in a rural community needing state/federal assistance.
