Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) – The Notice of Funding Opportunities (NOFO) is a published each year on Grants.gov for HUD’s Discretionary Funding Programs. These NOFOs describe the type of funding available on a competitive basis and provides information on submission of an application, typically up to 30 to 90 days from the date of the NOFO publication on grants.gov.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development NOFO Forecast list below identifies competitive grant opportunities that may be available for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023. The inclusion or exclusion of an opportunity in the listing below does not constitute a guarantee that a specific opportunity will become available or not be available. Forecast opportunities are subject to change based on enactment of Congressional appropriations and other considerations.
When funding is available, HUD will issue a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), which will be published on Grants.gov and the Funds Available webpage will be updated to indicate the NOFO has been published. Each NOFA provides guidance on how to apply for funding.
