For CPU to CPU transmissions, the batch processing method is used for submitting Single Family monthly (periodic) mortgage insurance premium payments directly to HUD for processing by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's automated collection service.

• HUD business partners who are establishing a new payment submission interface using the batch processing method must use the New Batch File Format.  
• HUD business partners who previously implemented their interface using the legacy batch processing method can reference the requirements for the Old Batch File Format.
