Information Technology (IT) plays a critical role in the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) ability to carry out its mission of encouraging home ownership and spurring community development. Each year the complexity of the IT environment grows, and making sound IT investment decisions requires greater amounts of information.

The Information Technology Management (ITM) Framework is a set of policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines that assist the Department's customers improve mission delivery and bring IT into the 21st century to better serve you and our customers.

The IT Management Framework site integrates IT strategy development, enterprise architecture, capital planning, project management, and investment performance measures to provide a more customer-centric and seamless process.

HUD is committed to transforming how its services are delivered by improving and streamlining processes. Investments in IT will only be successful with a highly functioning and responsive information resource management service organization that is capable of meeting mission needs in a timely manner. HUD is in the process of aligning its internal structure, improving processes, and implementing tools to usher in a customer service-oriented approach.
