The Green and Resilient Retrofit Program (GRRP) provides direct loans and grants to HUD-assisted multifamily properties across the nation. GRRP funds projects that improve energy efficiency and resilience to natural disasters and extreme weather events. Funds can also be used to increase water efficiency, enhance indoor air quality , generate and store energy, and a variety of other uses. GRRP also provides funding to support benchmarking at assisted properties. For the latest funding updates, access the All Cohort Funding map.

What's New!

New Grant and Loan Awards

We've awarded the final round of grants and loans under GRRP to deliver approximately $30 million to 45 properties across 23 states to support energy efficiency and resilience to natural disasters and extreme weather events in more than 4,700 homes. This bring the total funding awarded under this program to more than $1.4 billion. Read the press release. Other award announcements for Elements, Leading Edge and Comprehensive are also available.

Leading Edge and Comprehensive 
Waitlists

After publishing the Leading Edge Waitlist in October, HUD has now also published the waitlist for the Comprehensive cohort. Eligible Leading Edge and Comprehensive projects not selected for an award was placed on a waitlist according to the scoring and ranking received during application review. For the full waitlists, and details on how waitlist selections are made, please review the Leading Edge and Comprehensive web pages.
