The Office of Hospital Facilities (OHF) held a one-day lender training for the FHA Section 242 hospital mortgage insurance program on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Washington, DC at  HUD Headquarters.  The training was open to all interested participants and over 100 industry representatives attended in person.

The training provided lenders and consultants the opportunity to meet and interact with OHF staff while simultaneously learning about the updated Section 242 Program Documents (published in September 2016), Mortgagee Letter 2016-23 (published in December 2016), and process improvements made within FHA's hospital mortgage insurance program.

The workshop  was led by HUD staff members from several offices and divisions including OHP's Office of Hospital Facilities, Office of Architecture and Engineering, and the Office of General Counsel.
